Rabbit Road Soaps by Courtney Mayerson

When I started making soap for myself to reduce the pain and discomfort of Psoriasis, I realized I had an amazing product and I LOVED MAKING IT! Soap was just enough science, creativity and natural medicine to fit what I was always looking for. Each bar was created with a specific skin in mind and I had the freedom to make it something special.

I have always been drawn towards local artists and creators. I love smaller businesses because they are usually rooted in passion for something they love dearly.

Rabbit Road Catering By Erik Hansen

There is a genuineness and humbleness to Wisconsinites that are hard to find in other places.

Chef Erik’s passions for technique and detail allow him to make high-level exquisite dishes while also putting love and passion into the more humbled fare. From Midwestern classics, European favorites to Asian specialties, he loves to cook all types of food. As a result, he has spent much of his career learning a vast variety of cooking styles. From living, studying, and working in Florence Italy, and other parts of Europe to traveling and tasting through our own diverse country. Besides Erik's over two-decade career in the restaurant business, he has also had an impressive catering career. Events ranging from large scale to intimate, high-end, or picnic lunches he does not disappoint.

Providing clients with the finest quality dishes possible and overall gratifying experience is his goal for each and every time he is in a kitchen.

When Erik Hansen isn’t in the kitchen, he’s likely headed outdoors. You’ll find him hiking and camping, with his family preferably.

Hansen lives in Thiensville with his wife, Carilyn, and their daughter, Eve, and son, Olie.

Shannon Zimmerman is originally from Wisconsin. She traveled to Peru in college and eventually fell in love with Brazil. She has lived in Brazil for 10 years. She first learned about prayer beads from her friend and Zen Buddhist monk, Gustavo Mokusen. Since she was young she has always loved to make things beautiful with her hands. She began by making japamalas for her friends as gifts. It was another soulful friend with a deepening spiritual journey that sought her out to make japamalas for her blossoming, heartfelt and socially concisous business @harmonicaoficial. Each japamala is unique, handcrafted and made with natural materials. Through friendships and partnerships the japamalas continue to grow in their aesthetic beauty. Shannon uses her own japamala as a meditative tool in prayer and she hopes that japamalas will lead people to a closer connection with God.

Japamala, mala, माला, or mālā, meaning 'garland' is a string of prayer beads commonly used in Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, Buddhism and Shintō for the spiritual practice known in Sanskrit as japa.

She is continuously creating and bringing life to old and new items. She loves to use up-cycled materials to create unique individualistic style pieces. Her truest passion is in making candles from recycled bottles by cutting them down and re-purposing them.
